Kinder Ranch Elementary is a highly rated public school, conveniently located just across the street from Willis Ranch. The school offers curriculum for Pre-K and grades K-5.  The school currently has 550 students enrolled with an excellent student-teacher ratio of 15.5 to 1. Willis Ranch children will love attending classes in Kinder Ranch Elementary School (KRES) with its beautiful, green learning environment. The school had its grand opening in August 2011 and includes the latest in “green school” technology, including a living roof, skylights for natural lighting in the library; rainwater harvesting with on-site storage; an energy conservation system which automatically adjusts lighting in the classroom; water conservation fixtures; and a geothermal heating and cooling system which uses a ground source well to heat and cool the building. About Pieper Ranch Middle School

Pieper Ranch Middle School is located down the street from Willis Ranch approximately one mile west of Highway 281 off of Borgfeld Road . It’s a new middle school whose doors opened the 2018- 2019 academic year welcoming students from Spring Branch Middle School. We are excited to see how this new school performs in the years to come.

Named after August Anton Pieper, a German settler who was the first person to settle in the area alongside Cibolo Creek, Pieper Ranch Middle School is located 1.5 miles from the Willis Ranch community and is easily accessed by taking Bulverde Road to East Borgfeld Road. The 2018-19 school year is the inaugural year for this new campus, which is Comal ISD’s first New Tech Network campus. The beautiful new campus comfortably facilitates the education of over 1250 students in grades 6th – 8th that attend the new middle school. As a New Tech Network campus, the PRMS’ mission is to enable students with opportunities to collaborate across classes; working as teams or individually with project-based learning to gain the skills necessary to perform in the ever-changing technological world as well as enable students to be ready for the rigors and expectations of higher learning. About Smithson Valley High School

Smithson Valley High School is a highly rated public school well recognized for its students’ academic and athletics achievements. Located north of the Timberwood Park area, 11 miles from Willis Ranch, the school is easily accessed by taking Highway 281 north or Smithson Valley Road northwest to TX-46. The new SVHS high school was opened in 1988, turning the old campus into Smithson Valley Middle School, and now serves more than 2,600 students in grades 9th through 12th and is classified as a 6A school by the UIL. The Scientific Business Journal has listed Smithson Valley High School as one of the premier high schools in the San Antonio area for the last three years in a row.
