Cielos at Cibolo Canyons Students Attend an NEISD High School Ranked as One of the Best in the Country
Cielos at Cibolo Canyons students can attend the Northeast Independent School District (NEISD), the second largest San Antonio school district.
The district received a recognized rating by the Texas Education Agency in the 2010-2011 school year and has continued to meet standards across the district. Many of the schools have also received recognition and exemplary including Tejada Middle School and Lady Bird Johnson High School, which are attended by Cielos at Cibolo Canyons students. In fact, Johnson High is ranked among some of the best high schools in the country.
In 2016, Johnson High School was ranked 958 among all U.S. High Schools and 107th within Texas by U.S. News Best High School Rankings. The report ranks schools based on their performance on state-required tests and how well they prepare students for college. Students attending Johnson High have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate is 56 percent. The school has a 99 percent graduation rate and is also ranking number 1 of 9 high schools in the North East Independent School District.
Adjacent to Cielos at Cibolo Canyons, Cibolo Green Elementary is recognized by the TEA as an Exemplary school and is certified LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council. The school was built utilizing recycled and non-toxic building materials and with a focus on energy and water conservation. Students of Cibolo Green learn the importance of responsibility and stewardship as part of their curriculum.
Tejeda Middle School, also attended by Cielos at Cibolo Canyons students, has received exemplary honors for several years running. The school focuses on combining academic excellence with clubs, athletics, and extracurricular activities to prepare students for high school, and develop the well-rounded leaders of tomorrow.
