About Kinder Ranch Elementary School

Kinder Ranch Elementary is a highly rated public school, conveniently located just across the street from Kinder Ranch. The school offers curriculum for Pre-K and grades K-5.  The school currently has 550 students enrolled with an excellent student-teacher ratio of 15.5 to 1. Kinder Ranch children will love attending classes in Kinder Ranch Elementary School (KRES) with its beautiful, green learning environment. The school had its grand opening in August 2011 and includes the latest in “green school” technology, including a living roof, skylights for natural lighting in the library; rainwater harvesting with on-site storage; an energy conservation system which automatically adjusts lighting in the classroom; water conservation fixtures; and a geothermal heating and cooling system which uses a ground source well to heat and cool the building. About Pieper Ranch Middle School

Named after August Anton Pieper, a German settler who arrived in the area in 1845 and was the first person to settle in the area alongside Cibolo Creek, Pieper Ranch Middle School is located within the Kinder Ranch community minutes from each of the distinct Sitterle Homes neighborhoods and easily accessed by taking Bulverde Road to East Borgfeld Road. The 2018-19 school year is the inaugural year for this new campus, which is Comal ISD’s first New Tech Network campus. The beautiful new campus comfortably facilitates the education of over 1250 students in grades 6th – 8th that attend the new middle school. As a New Tech Network campus, the PRMS’ mission is to enable students with opportunities to collaborate across classes; working as teams or individually with project-based learning to gain the skills necessary to perform in the ever-changing technological world as well as enable students to be ready for the rigors and expectations of higher learning. In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, the PRMS Vipers have a variety of opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities with academic UIL programs and 15 athletic programs, including basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, football, cross country, soccer, tennis, track and field, and golf. About Smithson Valley High School

Smithson Valley High School is a highly rated public school well recognized for its students’ academic and athletics achievements. Located north of the Kinder Ranch area, 11 miles from Kinder Ranch, the school is easily accessed by taking Highway 281 north or Smithson Valley Road northwest to TX-46. The new SVHS high school was opened in 1988, turning the old campus into Smithson Valley Middle School, and now serves more than 2,600 students in grades 9th through 12th and is classified as a 6A school by the UIL. The Scientific Business Journal has listed Smithson Valley High School as one of the premier high schools in the San Antonio area for the last three years in a row. The mission of the SVHS staff is to provide a nurturing environment for all students along with a rigorous curriculum so that all students will be college and career ready when they graduate.

The campus offers 16 curriculum paths that include AP/Dual Credit/UT OnRamps and both career and technical programs. The SVHS Rangers and Lady Rangers have a variety of opportunities to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities with academic UIL programs, ROTC, dozens of clubs and organizations, and 20 athletic programs, including basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, cheerleading, swimming, diving, football, cross country, soccer, tennis, track and field, golf, and more. The Smithson Valley football team has traveled to the University Interscholastic League State 5A Championship Game two times and the softball team holds state titles for the following years 2001(4A), 2009(5A), 2012(4A). SVHS also offers a robust fine arts program with an advanced orchestra track, band, choir, dance and theater.
