Halloween fanatics look forward to the annual Fright Fest all year long. The park is transformed to include Halloween decorations, haunted houses and special scare zones. Things are a little more tame and family-friendly with Thrills by Day from noon to 4pm. Then Frights by Night adds scarier elements like zombies lurking around dark corners.

Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld

The Halloween fun continues with SeaWorld’s special holiday events and attractions. Howl-O-Scream brings a whole lot of frights and delights for visitors that are 13 and older who enjoy haunted houses and creepy creatures. This year there will also be a new haunted house created by the director of The Blair Witch Project.

 

When: Friday-Sunday, entire month of October starting at 7pm

Walk the Scarecrow Trail at San Antonio Botanical Garden

 

If you’re looking for a fun way to get out and enjoy the amazing fall weather take a trip to the San Antonio Botanical Garden. During October up to 20 creative scarecrows will have their own space along the trail. Visit on October 24th to also enjoy the family-friendly BOOtanica event.

The Annual Luminaria Art Event

 

Enjoy a few evenings filled with every type of art imaginable at the Luminaria two-day event. This free annual event literally brings art to light with special outdoor and indoor exhibits. Artists from all over the state, country and world come to San Antonio to showcase their latest work for free. Exhibits include art, dance, film and music.

 

When: October 23rd and 24th, 7pm-12am

Morgan’s Wonderland Brings the Magic of Halloween to Life

 

If you enjoy the fun and magic of Halloween more than scary ghouls and goblins then you won’t want to miss the special holiday event at Morgan’s Wonderland. In addition to the park’s fun rides and games, kid can also enjoy safe trick-or-treating and face painting. Donate three canned goods between now and October 30th then come dressed in costume to get free admission on Halloween.
