April 30 – May 1 – Cinco de Mayo
Celebrations commemorate the Mexican Army’s defeat of the invading French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. This event stretches over the weekend and takes place in historic Market Square and features live Mariachis, Conjunto and Tejano music, delicious food booths, arts and crafts and more. May 6 – The Spirit of Brackenridge Park
Board the San Antonio Zoo Eagle train and journey through Brackenridge Park, sampling appetizers and specialty cocktails at three whistle-stop stations. Guests also dine alfresco for supper and enjoy handcrafted cocktails, wine, beer, and music under the cypress trees! May 11 – 15: Tejano Conjunto Festival en San Antonio
This year marks the 35th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival en San Antonio. TCF features star-studded performances by Conjunto Music Hall of Fame award winners as well as national and international Conjunto musicians. May19 – 22: Culinaria – A Wine and Culinary Arts Festival
This popular foodie festival features multiple events and celebrates San Antonio as a premier wine and food destination. The event takes place over the course of four days! May 21: America’s Armed Forces River Parade
This parade is dedicated to the men and women of the Armed Forces; past and present. Twenty-six patriotically-decorated floats carrying all 5 branches of military personnel ranging from enlisted men and women to a general. Enjoy live patriotic music from the floats and on stage throughout the downtown area of the River Walk including the Arneson River Theatre. The event is from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

May – August: Fiesta Noche Del Rio
A San Antonio tradition, this performance features songs and dances of Mexico, Spain, Argentina and Texas and occurs Friday and Saturday evenings at the River Walk’s historic Arneson River Theatre.
